Probability, Harmonic Analysis, and Numerical Methods in PDE's

This research group is focused on methods of modern probability
in the harmonic analysis of partial differential equations in
applied mathematics. Prototypical equations include linear diffusion
equations, Fisher's reaction-diffusion equation, Burger's equation,
and Navier-Stokes equation. The effort is partially supported by a
Research Focus Group Grant from the Division of Mathematical Sciences
of the National Science Foundation for the period August 1, 2000 - July 31,
