Research

Faculty members have diverse research interests that include actuarial science and financial mathematics, algebra, analysis, computational and applied mathematics, geometry, mathematics education, numerical analysis, probability, and topology.

The department has participated in the National Science Foundation summer program, Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU), since its inception. In addition, graduate students and advanced math majors often work with a faculty members on special research projects and projects.
