Recitation: (CRN 10417 on Thu 09:00-09:50 in STAG 109 and 15134 on Thu 10:00:10:50 in STAG 329). Recitation Instructor: Shari Ultman
Student preparation: Students should have completed MTH 251 and MTH 252 or equivalent. Please refresh your calculus and pre-calculus skills especially trigonometry and log-exponential functions.

Students can also use the Multivariable part only which has the same chapter numbers as the corresponding part(s) of Single-and-Multivariable text.
Syllabus: We will cover most of Chapters 12-17 from the book including " Vectors, vector functions, and curves in two and three dimensions. Surfaces, partial derivatives, gradients, and directional derivatives. Multiple integrals in rectangular, polar, cylindrical, and spherical coordinates. Physical and geometric applications."
Grading policy: The final grade will be computed from the sum of recitation grade (10%) and exam grade (90%).
Exams: There will be two exams (counting each 30% of the grade) on Friday 10/12 and Friday 11/2, and a (cumulative) Final on Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 18:00, counting twice as a midterm (that is 60%). The exam grade will be computed as the sum of three best out of these four scores. (No make up exams will be given; you can make up for one on the final).
FINAL EXAM is in PHAR 305 on Tuesday, Dec. 4 18:00-20:00
